
TITLE: Secretary to Buildings & Grounds, Student Services & Student Records Registrar
REPORTS TO: Director of Buildings & Grounds and Director of Student Services
JOB GOAL: To support the smooth and efficient operation of Student Services & Buildings and Grounds tasks to maximize positive outcomes for stakeholders.
The following are the essential functions, including but not limited to, the following job duties as assigned:
8 hours per day for 261 days in accordance with the Decatur Educational Support Professionals Association (DESPA) collective bargaining agreement.
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Our District was established in 1865 and is in the state of Illinois, serving approximately 8,700 students. Our buildings consist of one pre-kindergarten/early learning center, ten K-6 elementary schools, four K-8 schools, one middle school, two high schools, and an K-12 alternative education program as well as a social-emotional alternative program. Three of our facilities are magnet schools, including a Pre-K to 8th-grade Montessori school. Families have the option to apply to schools of choice: STEM Academy, a candidate International Baccalaureate school and a fine arts program. The District is also the administrative agent for the Macon-Piatt Special Education District.
