Position Details:This position is a long-term assignment through May 28, 2027. It is scheduled 5 days per week at 8 hours per day. Salary:$21.12/hr. The salary includes compensation for hours worked (holidays are not paid). Benefits:Insurance:

This position is eligible for employee only medical insurance as well as two sick days and .5 personal day per semester.

SUMMARY:

Provide confidential administrative and clerical support to the Principal and school office, ensuring efficient daily operations, effective communication, and a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Provide confidential administrative support to the Principal.
• Answer incoming phone calls, take and relay messages, and direct calls appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and files.
• Prepare, type, and distribute a variety of reports and records related to school operations and student activities.
• Ensure compliance with policies and legal regulations when releasing students to custodial parents, guardians, or authorized individuals.
• Draft and distribute communications to parents, staff, and students.
• Assist with student enrollment and withdrawal processes.
• Process requisitions and other orders and maintains office supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate substitute teachers and paraprofessionals, assigning them to classrooms and providing necessary information.
• Offer backup assistance to other clerical and administrative staff in the school office.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, and welcoming demeanor when interacting with staff, students, parents, and visitors.
• Maintain regular attendance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years office experience and/or training, proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the board of school trustees.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and comprehend correspondence, memos, instructions, and documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence clearly and concisely using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Ability to speak effectively with good grammar before groups of people and with individuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
