About Global Management Services, LLC

Global Management Services, LLC (GMS) was formed in 2011, is a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), and graduated from the Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) 8(a) program; however, is still eligible for 8(a) opportunities on the new consolidated GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) With all options, we remain on the Schedule until 2036 (8a status good to 7/10/2021).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform and track on-boarding and out-processing of employees.
  • Update and maintain on-site personnel files for all employees who work under these contracts.
  • Establish and/or maintain Excel spreadsheets for certifications, training, and personnel.
  • Update and prepare coversheets and training documents for compliance binders.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the contract and senior management. This includes filing and organizing paperwork, copying, scanning, and posting paperwork.
  • Draft and/or compile administrative support material, to include memos and the revision of post orders.
  • Maintain records for auditing purposes and accurate documentation of work performed within contract requirements.
  • Organize inventory and maintain current stock counts (keeping within weight restrictions).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, contract requirements and other applicable laws and regulations.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: High School Diploma or nationally recognized equivalent
  • Level of Experience Requirements: 1 to 3 years of administrative support experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge/skills utilizing Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Experience with maintaining comprehensive certification spreadsheets or databases.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, outside clients and vendors.
  • Ability to monitor and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
  • Great attention to details

Preferred

  • Experience with Deltek Time & Expense or similar timekeeping software
  • Experience with NexGen IT
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is an Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) regional corporation for the Bering Strait and Norton Sound region and is owned by more than 8,000 Alaska Native shareholders.
