Job Description

The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of reports, legal notices; disposition work orders; prepare notices for apartment inspections. Candidate will also be responsible for handling correspondence for supervisors to communicate with residents, community leaders, vendors and other NYCHA departments.

Specific duties shall include, but not be limited to the following:

1. Perform receptionist duties; monitor complaints.
2. Responsible for staff timekeeping.
3. Collect reports and input data; prepare and develop spreadsheets in excel.
4. Process uncollected accounts.
5. Process transfers through Siebel.
6. Process orders in Oracle.
7. Distribution of mail pouch; file and type.

NOTE: Due to the existence of a civil service list, candidates must have permanent civil service status in the title of Secretary to be considered.

Qualifications

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization?

Skills Requirement: You will be required to meet the typing skills requirement by demonstrating the ability to type accurately on a personal computer at a minimum speed of 35 words per minute after errors are deducted. You must meet this requirement in order to be appointed.
