Job Category: Admin - ClericalACES Chase Academy magnet school is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and highly organized School Secretary to join our team. This full-time, year-round position is a crucial part of our school's administrative staff, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and multitasking skills. Experience with PowerSchool is required. The School Secretary will play a key role in supporting the school's administrative functions and providing exceptional service to both adults and children.  Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication: Communicate effectively to serve the diverse needs of our school community, including students, parents, and staff.  Bilingual is a plus.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the school, including managing phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized records.
- Technology Proficiency: Utilize various software and systems to manage school records, attendance, and other administrative tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerSchool is required.
- Multitasking: Juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, such as answering phone calls, assisting with student inquiries, and managing administrative paperwork.
- Student Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including enrollment, attendance, and health records.
- Parent and Staff Interaction: Interact professionally and courteously with parents, staff, and visitors, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Emergency Procedures: Be prepared to handle emergency situations and ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff by following established protocols.
- Assist with Special Events: Support school events, such as parent-teacher conferences, orientations, and school meetings.

Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerSchool applications.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to handle a wide variety of situations simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and friendly demeanor.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and take on new tasks as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant administrative experience is a plus.
