POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as an active EPA Certification.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine, and unscheduled, maintenance and repair of commercial systems including air-cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc
Diagnose and repair machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems
Inspect and test system components to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards
Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems
Assist in installing, retrofitting, and commissioning commercial chiller systems and related HVAC equipment
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to assess and repair HVAC systems
Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site, customer interface
Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial Chiller and Refrigeration Equipment
Comfortable and knowledgeable in electrical including electrical components, timers, contactors, relays
Adhere to safety protocols and comply with regulatory requirements related to HVAC and refrigeration systems
ACCOUNTABILITIES

Elite level of customer service, to ensure we continue to be the FirstCall our customers make for their HVAC needs
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position reports to the local Branch Manager and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all of our customers.
Qualifications
Valid Driver License w/acceptable driving record
Active EPA Certification
2+ years’ of experience in a commercial HVAC setting with Chillers
OSHA 10 certification preferred
Technical training in HVAC or Refrigeration preferred
Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Ability to effectively communicate with the customer by checking in and out with them on jobs. Able to explain the problems and resolution in a manner that the customer can understand.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
