Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You will be responsible for ensuring that the health club is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained for guests. You will greet and assist guests with information about the facilities, handle check-ins, and ensure the smooth flow of guests through the fitness and wellness areas. You will ensure that the health club is equipped with fresh towels, properly maintained equipment, and all amenities are in working order. As a Youth Staff, you’re not just fulfilling the daily health club operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

  • Guest Service Excellence: Provide a warm welcome, assist with inquiries, and ensure guest satisfaction across all health club touchpoints.
  • Operational Support: Maintain cleanliness and organization of fitness areas, locker rooms, and wellness spaces; replenish amenities and supplies.
  • Reception & Administration: Manage guest check-ins, bookings for classes and services, and respond to inquiries at the reception desk.
  • Team Support: Assist the Health Club Manager in supervising operations and stepping into staff roles as needed to maintain service continuity.
  • Training & Supervision: Help train and schedule team members across fitness, spa, and guest service roles.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations; report equipment issues or safety concerns.
  • Business Support: Assist with marketing, merchandising, programming, inventory, and tracking performance to drive engagement and efficiency.

As the Youth Staff, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Profitability

  • Develops an operational strategy that is aligned with the brand’s business strategy and leads its execution

  • Facilitates the preparation of hotel budgets and forecasts for corporate submission and approvals

  • Ensures capital expenditure funds are being used to address the priorities outlined in the service strategy.

  • Ensures accurate forecasting, predicting potential highs and lows in business and initiate necessary changes, analyses variances and initiate appropriate action plans

Kids Club Operation

  • To report to duty punctually and consistently.

  • To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the resort’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety and take necessary action when required.

  • To provide guests with friendly, efficient, accurate and polite service at all times.

  • To be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.

  • To make a data of all young guest likes and dislikes, allergic, medication or special needs attention, compile various requests received and communicate to all relevant department. Use feedback from parents to identify opportunities to enhance the quality, service and team members training.

  • Checks that duty check lists are completed, and follows up on any shortfall.

  • To suggest items and activities to enhance the Kids Club experience

  • To keep up-to-date with industry trends and competition

  • To assist the Kids Club Manager & Supervisor in all other requests or needs

  • To assist teen club team when needed
  • To actively promote the services and facilities of the kids club and teen club
  • To maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene at all times by adhering to the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Grooming Standards

Operations

  • To keep up-to-date with the SALT (Satisfaction and Loyalty Tracking) results and to seek to positively influence these results by following the CONRAD Brand Standards.
  • Constantly strive to increase guest satisfaction through quality, creativity, range and value for money throughout the Resort in all facilities & services.
  • Develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees and provides a return on investment.

  • Champions the brand’s service vision for product and service delivery and ensuring alignment amongst the property leadership team.

  • Identifies and analyses operational challenges and facilitates the development of solutions to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Ensure team member feedback is followed up, dealt with appropriately, and shared with the team regularly

  • Ensure appropriate actions are executed to support any improvements resulting from Safety, QA audits or Area Support Team input

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and achieve Health and Safety targets and shares best practice across the organization

  • Utilizes an “open door” policy to identify and address team member problems or concerns

  • Fosters team member commitment to providing excellent service, participating in daily briefing meetings and models desired service behaviors in all interactions with guest and team members

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • Previous experience as kids club attendant, preferably in hospitality
  • Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication skills and a guest-focused attitude
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and professional approach
  • Energetic, caring team individuals that have a passion for child care and entertainment

  • Artistic and entertainer competencies

  • Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

  • Strong Health and safety mindfulness of our young guests

  • First aid skill qualified

  • Good swimmer
