Winter Lights, our largest fundraiser, transforms our gardens into a dazzling display of lights from November 13th through January 3rd, 2027, creating an enchanting experience for all who visit. As part of our seasonal team, you'll help bring this wonder to life, ensuring that our guests enjoy a cozy, memorable evening surrounded by beauty. We are currently seeking several candidates to join us for Winter Lights as Admission Attendants. Admission Attendants are often the first friendly faces to greet our guests for Winter Lights. The primary focus of this position will be to welcome guests, scan tickets or assist in the purchase process. The show will run from November 13th through January 3rd. Pay is $16 per hour. Each shift will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will end around 9:30 p.m. (depending on the queues and tasks assigned).
Primary duties will include:
Evening and weekend work is required. Holiday availability is REQUIRED. A mandatory paid training will be offered before the show begins.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Background checks are conducted upon hire.
Customer service, retail and/or cash handling experience is preferred.
Customer Service: This position will require strong customer service skills including a solid knowledge of event procedures, attentiveness to customer feedback and the ability to use positive language. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Ability to reliably and predictably carry out your duties. System Office
The UNC System Office, located in Raleigh, houses the offices of the president and senior administrative staff for the University.
