An Orlando Venues Security Specialist is a vital member of the Guest Experience Division for KIA Center, Camping World Stadium, and Mennello Museum. The Security Specialist primary roles are to observe & report and deliver legendary guest experiences. They proactively protect facilities, clients, and the public from potential hazards as well as deter theft and criminal acts with their presence. Additional responsibilities include completing written incident reports, ensuring compliance with policies & procedures, assisting pedestrians with traffic crossing, being on alert for safety issues, and handling crowd control with discretion and diplomacy. Security Agents are expected to have good communication skills, exhibit a safety-first mindset, and conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism. Involves standing and walking for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, and working outdoors.
Starting Salary: $15.00
Performs semi-skilled manual work involving event preparation, change-over, and general maintenance of KIA Center. Performs tasks requiring knowledge of the regulations/specifications of the various sports, and involves the use of independent judgment and initiative, above-average physical effort, operation of power tools and equipment, and the ability to work without constant supervision once tasks are learned. Performs other duties as assigned. Duties may include lead worker responsibilities. Work is performed under moderate supervision of a Crew Leader or Supervisor, and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to sports regulations and/or specifications. Work Schedule: Hours vary, although weekend, evening, and holiday hours are often required based on event schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.Six (6) months Arena, Stadium, or Convention Center recommended; or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.
THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.
