Job Description

The Seasonal Grain Truck Driver supports harvest and peak operational periods by safely and efficiently transporting grain and related products between farm locations, cooperative facilities, and intercompany sites. This is a temporary, seasonal position with variable hours based on operational needs.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Safely haul and unload grain according to delivery tickets
• Verify product accuracy and maintain grain quality
• Transfer grain between farm, cooperative, and intercompany locations
• Perform basic grain handling, loading, and unloading
• Complete accurate trip reports and required documentation
• Conduct daily vehicle and safety equipment checks
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance and report needed repairs
• Use caution on farm sites to avoid damage to property and ensure safety
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and customer concerns promptly
• Follow all cooperative policies and state and federal regulations

Seasonal Employment Expectations

• Temporary, seasonal position with no guarantee of ongoing employment
• Work hours may be extended and weather-dependent during peak season

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A CDL or ability to complete ELDT if required
• Ability to work long, seasonal hours
• Ability to climb heights, sit for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail and strong customer service skills

Physical Requirements

Regular standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs; ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment.
