Seasonal Snow Remover

Summary

The Temporary Snow Removal position plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. This role provides flexible assistance across the community, ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and well-maintained throughout the year, or seasonally, based on property needs.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

This position may include all or only a portion of the duties listed below, based on property needs:

  • Assist with snow removal and shoveling during winter months.
  • Support pool operations including opening, closing, and general overside during summer months.
  • Performs grounds maintenance including trash pickup, light landscaping, and common area upkeep.
  • Assist with cleaning of common areas and community amenities.
  • Support light maintenance tasks assigned.
  • Monitor property conditions and report safety or maintenance concerns to the management office.
  • Assist with additional operational tasks as needed to support property performance.

Knowledge and Critical Skills

  • Dependable and able to follow a consistent schedule.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attendion to detail and sense of responsibility.
  • Basic understanding of maintenance and property upkeep preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support team needs.

Work Schedule

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on property needs.
  • Must be able to respond to urgent or time-sensitive situations, including but not limited to snow removal, safety concerns, and weather-related events.
  • Expected to maintain reliable communication and respond promptly when contacted for immediate property needs or emergencies.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Physical Requirements - The physical activities of this position involve:

  • Ability to perform manual labor, including shoveling snow, lifting and carrying materials, and completing physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to operate basic maintenance and snow removal equipment safely and effectively.
  • Must be capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat, and precipitation.

Cognitive Requirements - The cognitive activities with ot without prosthetics of this position are:

  • Execute tasks independently.
  • Communicate in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors and team members.
  • Ability to express yourself clearly and effectively.
  • Proficient computer literacy.

Environmental Requirements - An individual in this position may be exposed to:

  • Ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.

Working Conditions

This position will be required to work more than 40 hours per week, and on any day, including but not limited to weekends and holidays as necessary. While performing the duties of the job, the employee works in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including inclement weather. The noise level of the environment is usually moderate. This position is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g. severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
