LOCATION: Metro Phoenix Office

STATUS: Full Time Temporary/ 40 hours/week - Flex Schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Background in communications and community relations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must have valid Arizona Driver’s license with clean a MVR
  • Ability to act in a professional manner with a good attitude and language conducive to The Salvation Army’s mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Real Estate Wednesdays (REW):

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of REW signs for each captain or company participating in REW. Coordinate REW signs with the Metro Phoenix Corps to ensure they have appropriate signs on hand for their REW kettles.
  • Maintain those REW Wednesday Online Kettles for those companies choosing to use this program.
  • Facilitate written and verbal communications between corps officers, kettle coordinators, real estate agent volunteers and REW Project Manager, including timely resolution of all problems and concerns. Maintain a daily record of conversations for follow-up by the REW project Manager.
  • Record and tabulate REW totals into the master spreadsheet by the following Monday morning. When completed, email each REW captain’s and REW Project Coordinator the results.
  • Assist in the production and mailing of thank-you letters and certificates of appreciation after the season has ended.

Christmas Angel Site Manager:

  • Manage schedule of staff and volunteers at assigned locations.
  • Maintain weekly payroll for seasonal hires.
  • Monitor and replenish supplies, including tags, bags and office supplies, which will be available at DHQ.
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping of Christmas Angel statistics and ensure report is sent to Christmas Angel coordinator each week
  • Ensure proper techniques are being practiced with respect to local guidelines
  • Volunteer and Donor appreciation.
  • Track digital equipment for Christmas Angel usage (i.e. scanners, printers, notepads)
  • Maintain accurate record of mall storage keys.
  • Act as a backup to fill in at a Christmas Angel Tree Mall shifts if lead is not present.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
