Job Description

Cavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have 7 manufacturing/retail locations serving Atlantic Canada. Our primary products include fertilizers, crop protectants and technical expertise.

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the successful candidate will be a results-driven, self-starter who is always looking for opportunities for improvement, and has the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

The position is SEASONAL with a duration of 6 to 8 weeks, staring at the end of March.

Work location - 38 Wade Rd, Truro, NS B2N 6S9

• Safely Operate Forklift
• Accurately measure and weigh raw materials, such as minerals, organic compounds, and other ingredients, according to production formulas.
• Operate and monitor mixing equipment to ensure thorough and consistent blending of the materials.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the mixing process.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.
• Maintain warehouse and production area
• Work in production line using designated equipment as directed
• All other related duties as assigned
  
  

• Forklift experience
• Ability to lift 55lbs (25kgs)
• Availability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working in manufacturing or farm/fertilizer operations would be considered an asset
