Permit Specialist (Seasonal)

Eanes Home Services, a fast-growing leader in HVAC and residential home services, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Permit Specialist to join our team in High Point, NC.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Position Type: Seasonal (through January 31, 2027)
This role is critical to ensuring permits, inspections, licensing documentation, and compliance requirements are managed accurately and efficiently throughout the installation process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and committed to supporting both our customers and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and verify all company and technician license information to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Keep detailed records of licensing documentation and renewal requirements
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of municipal and township inspectors and permitting contacts
- Obtain permits for HVAC and residential service projects as required
- Process permit payments and communicate permit numbers to subcontractors and internal teams
- Track and document all permit-related charges, ensuring costs are properly allocated to jobs through purchase orders and accounting systems
- Verify that required duct testing and compliance inspections have been completed and accurately recorded in company systems
- Coordinate rough inspections, air tests, and other required inspections when projects are ready for the next phase
- Review and distribute inspection results to the appropriate Installation Coordinator to facilitate project completion or reinspection scheduling
- Schedule final mechanical, electrical, and plumbing inspections in accordance with customer availability and local jurisdiction requirements
- Ensure final inspections are scheduled within applicable state compliance timelines, including documenting all outreach efforts when inspections cannot be completed
- Maintain accurate notes, records, and status updates within company reporting and project management systems
- Support operational teams with additional administrative and compliance-related responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in permitting, construction administration, project coordination, scheduling, or a similar administrative role preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations, installation teams, subcontractors, and municipalities
- Professional, customer-focused attitude
- Experience within HVAC, construction, home services, or permitting environments is a plus
