As Seasonal Outside Sales Representative, you’ll connect directly with homeowners, identify their lawn care needs, and provide solutions that help them achieve healthy, beautiful lawns. Day in the Life:
Go Beyond for Our Customers
- Engage homeowners in assigned neighborhoods to introduce Virginia Green’s customized lawn care programs
- Conduct on-site evaluations to understand lawn conditions and homeowner goals
- Educate customers on tailored solutions that deliver long-term lawn health—not one-size-fits-all services
- Set clear expectations and build trust from the first interaction
Grow Beyond in Sales Performance
- Primary duty is outside sales, prospecting new customers
- Convert conversations into new service agreements using proven, ethical sales practices
- Proactively generate leads through door-to-door outreach, referrals, and community presence
- Cross-sell and upsell additional services that enhance results and customer satisfaction
- Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals while maintaining Virginia Green's high standards
Own Your Territory
- Maintain a strong, visible presence within assigned territories to maximize opportunity and brand awareness
- Track leads, customer interactions, and sales activity accurately using our CRM system
- Use data, feedback, and coaching to continuously improve performance
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- A customer-first mindset paired with a competitive drive to succeed
- Comfortable with face-to-face sales and proactive outreach
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in the field
- Willingness to learn, grow, and accept coaching
- Experience using CRM tools preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to walk, stand, and remain active for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
