REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT:
Education: Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, or preferably possession of an associate’s degree from a college of recognized standing.
Experience: Such as may have been gained through employment in a warehouse environment and/or experience in conducting in-person or virtual training. Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.

Seasonal Operations Clerk
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To work in the warehouse operations of the agency, as well as assist with the maintenance, shipping, receiving, and inspection of the Board’s vote tabulation and ballot marking equipment. Assist in the training and the instruction of election officials, voters and civic groups in the proper use of voting equipment. Assist in the preparation of mail ballots for processing which includes opening, scanning, and sorting prior to the tabulation of the ballot. Execute key field operations for the nursing home/care facility mail ballot program under the direction of the program coordinator, including facility scheduling, onsite voter assistance, and the secure return of ballots to the Board of Elections. Assist in the preparation and packaging of supplies to be distributed to all the cities & towns for elections, as well as the return and processing of all election forms and supplies after the election. Hours may vary due to the seasonal demands of elections
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general supervision of the Deputy Director from whom general and specific assignments are received.
Knowledge, Skills and Capacities: The ability to perform tasks requiring mechanical/electrical aptitude; the ability to work with peers and subordinates; the ability to work well with other seasonal warehouse staff and election officials; the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; and related capacities and abilities. Applicant must be capable of lifting 80 lbs. and hold a valid driver’s license.
