
Seasonal Licensed Practical Nurse II - Day, Evening & Night Shift - Pocasset Mental Health Center260002IW
This is a seasonal position with an anticipated duration of 90 days.
The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking exceptional Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN II) to fill a position on second and third shift. Oversees the maintenance of a safe, secure, and therapeutic ward environment by participating in the coordination of staff assignments with the charge nurse; provides total nursing care and serves as the primary teacher for medication issues and groups. Serves as a role model and provides leadership to staff in lower classifications. Maintain a person centered, trauma informed atmosphere and professional performance.
Please Note This is a seasonal position for an anticipated duration of 90 days.This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. The work schedule will vary. Day, Evening and Night shifts available. Seasonal positions do not offer employee benefits with the exception of sick time accruals.
Employees in this position will be required to perform mandatory overtime.

About the Cape Cod and the Islands Community Mental Health Center:
The CC&I CMHC provides comprehensive services to adults and children. Programs include a 16-bed acute in-patient unit, Case Management, Day Treatment Program, and Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS). The CC&I CMHC is a Joint Commission certified facility. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have at least one year of paraprofessional experience in the field of nursing as a licensed practical nurse.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a current and valid license as a practical nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
Title 101 CMR 23.00 (“Regulation”) requires certain agency staff to have received the COVID-19 vaccination and Influenza vaccination, or have taken required mitigation measures, to prevent viral infection and transmission in State Hospitals and State Congregate Care Facilities.
