Job Category: Attractions The Events Summer Internship at Moody Gardens provides hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale corporate, social, nonprofit, and destination events within a premier hospitality and attractions environment serving over two million guests annually.
Interns will gain exposure to event logistics, client coordination, banquet operations collaboration, revenue tracking, and on-site event management. This internship is designed to develop future event and hospitality professionals through real-world operational experience.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within the past 12 months) from an accredited college or university
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Basic understanding of event planning processes and logistics
- Familiarity with event management software or CRM systems preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event setup and execution
- Ability to occasionally lift and move materials up to 25 pounds
- Ability to assist with event setup and breakdown activities
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments as event needs require
