SEASONAL DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Canada Summer Jobs Temporary Part-time Position (Approx. 8-12 weeks). Hourly $22.02 CAD

Newcastle, ON

Position pending the approval of funding.

The Seasonal Direct Support Professional assists with activities of daily living and promotes the implementation of person- centered plans. They work in cooperation with their work team and complete administrative duties as assigned. They seek to promote Karis Disability Services’ Service Principles by enhancing relationships, promoting citizenship, celebrating people’s gifts, recognizing self-determination, encouraging growth and development, and recognizing the need for holistic supports in a manner that considers each person’s intrinsic value.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
  • 0-3 Months Experience
  • Eligibility for the Canada Summer Jobs program includes the requirement for candidates to be between 18 and 30 years of age and be either a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee.
