We’re proud to be where the pets go and where the pet people go. If you want to make a real difference, create an exciting career path, feel welcome to be your whole self and nurture your wellbeing, Petco is the place for you.

Our core values capture that spirit as we work to improve lives by doing what’s right for pets and people.

  • Pet First – Protect & Empower. All pets should Live their Best Life. We put the needs of pets and pet parents at the center of everything we do.
  • Foster the Fun – Connect & Bond. Our Passion for pets brings us together! We celebrate the journey of pet parenthood through district experiences, products, and services.

About Petco:

We’re proud to be 'where the pets go' to find everything they need to live their best lives for more than 60 years — from their favorite meals and toys, to trusted supplies and expert support from people who get it, because we live it. We believe in the universal truths of pet parenthood — the boundless boops, missing slippers, late night zoomies and everything in between. And we’re here for it. Every tail wag, every vet visit, every step of the way. We are 29,000+ strong and together we nurture the pet-human bond in more than 1,500 Petco stores across the U.S., Mexico and Puerto Rico, 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics and eight distribution centers. In 1999, we founded Petco Love. Together, we support thousands of local animal welfare groups nationwide and have helped find homes for approximately 7 million animals through in-store adoption events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross-Functional Integration & Partner Collaboration
  • Central Campaign Integrator: Serve as the strategic hub connecting Brand, Creative, Media, CRM, Loyalty, Visual, and E-Commerce, ensuring all teams remain aligned on the core narrative and business goals.
  • PM Partnership: Partner closely with Project Managers by handing off approved campaign briefs and go-to-market calendars, enabling PMs to build detailed workback schedules, manage asset workflows, and drive day-to-day creative production.
  • Campaign Briefing & Strategic Definition
  • Campaign Brief Ownership: Author comprehensive, actionable campaign briefs defining the overarching campaign objective, audience targeting, key product pushes, and messaging hierarchy.
  • Intake & Scope Alignment: Partner with Brand, Visual and Channel leads to translate commercial priorities into clear deliverables, securing cross-functional sign-off prior to execution kickoff.
  • Campaign Governance & Post-Mortem Leadership
  • Narrative Cohesion Review: Review campaign deliverables alongside PMs and Creative leads at critical milestones to ensure final outputs stay true to the brief and brand standards.
  • Commercial Post-Mortem: Partner with Analytics to track holistic campaign performance against KPIs, leading post-campaign reviews to distill commercial insights and inform future seasonal strategies.
  • Enterprise Marketing Calendar & Go-To-Market Alignment
  • Campaign Calendar Development: Build and own detailed, campaign-specific marketing calendars that map out in-market launch dates, thematic storytelling beats, product focal points, and channel cadence across digital, in-store, CRM, and owned media.
  • Enterprise Calendar Integration: Partner with marketing leadership to help maintain and regularly update the master enterprise seasonal marketing calendar, ensuring seamless integration between seasonal campaign beats and ongoing evergreen or category initiatives.
  • Flighting & Timing Alignment: Coordinate with Category Marketing, Merchandising, and Channel leads to balance priorities, align promotional windows, and ensure campaign storytelling is cohesive across all customer touchpoints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in media planning or integrated marketing, preferably within retail media, advertising, or a digital-first organization.
  • Proven expertise in building and managing multi-channel campaigns (onsite, offsite, CRM, in-store).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with media measurement tools, platforms, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with retail media networks and industry benchmarks is a plus.
