The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. Job Summary:

The National MS Society's DIY Fundraising and Finish MS programs empower passionate supporters to create and participate in fundraising activities that drive critical revenue and awareness for people affected by multiple sclerosis. As these programs continue to grow, this seasonal position will provide essential administrative, logistical, and participant support to help ensure a high-quality experience for event organizers, Finish MS runners, and donors.

Working closely with DIY Directors, this role will support the ongoing coordination of fundraising campaigns, participant stewardship, event logistics, fulfillment activities, and program resources. This position plays an important role in helping the team efficiently manage a large portfolio of fundraisers while allowing senior team members to focus on high-impact revenue growth opportunities.

This is a temporary, seasonal position expected to last approximately six (6) months.

Location Requirements:

  • Remote - Flexible Location
  • ​Work is primarily performed remotely, however, when possible and necessary, teams meet in person to conduct the business of the organization and build team relationships.

Compensation:

The estimated hourly rate for this role is $24.00 - $25.00 per hour. Final offers will be based on the candidate's geographic location, consider career experience, and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.

This seasonal position is NOT eligible for benefits.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day administration and coordination of DIY Fundraising and Finish MS programs.
  • Manage logistics and fulfillment activities, including collateral, supplies, medals, apparel, promotional items, goodie bags, mailings, and invoicing.
  • Assist with planning and execution of Finish MS event dinners, mixers, and other participant engagement activities.
  • Conduct campaign intake calls and ensure new fundraising campaigns are launched accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to event organizers, participants, donors, and staff through phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Coordinate participant stewardship activities, including personalized outreach, cards, and recognition efforts.
  • Maintain and organize program resources, including websites, intake processes, annual timelines, toolkits, external resources, and case studies.
  • Manage and update digital content platforms, including the program Flickr account and other resource libraries.
  • Maintain timely, accurate records and documentation within organizational systems and databases.
  • Collaborate with DIY Directors and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless participant experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, resources, and participant support efforts.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking for:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in event coordination, nonprofit fundraising, customer service, project coordination, administrative support, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to build positive relationships with participants, volunteers, donors, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, CRM systems, databases, and online collaboration tools.
  • Experience supporting fundraising events, nonprofit programs, or volunteer-based initiatives is a plus.
