The Seasonal Assistant Buyer is responsible for assisting the Buyer in developing the assortment direction and delivering product that is trend-relevant and has a strong price-value for their assigned categories, keeping a pulse on latest trends, influencers, aspirational and competitive landscape for their categories, maintaining strong relationships with vendor community through sample organization.
What You’ll Do
- Assist Buyers in Assortment planning and sales analysis
- Run reporting and update all systems necessary to maintain dept function
- Maintain Buy Sheets to match On Order
- Scout new samples/vendors to recommend products to be sold on Lulus.com
- Attend all internal business and creative meetings with the knowledge to speak on respective categories
- Attend vendor meetings as needed
- Attend fittings for respective categories and maintain any notes in the Developer PP doc
- Execution of promotions as needed
- Purchase Order creation and maintenance, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Track and maintain all samples for respective category
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience
- 1-2 years of relevant retail buying experience
- Professional, positive attitude
- Sense of urgency, highly detailed, and experience in meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication; written, oral and group facilitation
- Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and managers at all times
- Works well under pressure
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Ability to apply logical thinking and sound judgment to a wide range of practical problems
- Thorough knowledge of trends and fashion
- Keen understanding of the Lulus Customer
- Retail math skills
