
The Carnegie Mellon University Rales Fellows Program is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of STEM leaders and drive innovation by increasing access to a life-changing graduate education. By removing financial barriers to obtaining advanced degrees and providing Fellows with holistic support, the Rales Fellows Program empowers and connects scholars with
others who share a passion for progress and innovation.
The CMU Rales Fellows Program is seeking Seasonal Application Readers to assist with the review of applications for the 2027 cohort. As the program continues to grow nationally, we anticipate a high volume of submissions. Seasonal readers will help ensure each application receives a thoughtful, comprehensive, and fair evaluation aligned with the program’s mission
and selection criteria.
The Rales Fellows Program Application Reader is a seasonal/fixed-term, remote position. Readers will have a flexible weekly schedule and are encouraged to commit between 10–15 hours per week, with the option to work up to 17.5 hours as needed. In addition to a 1-hour training, selected
readers will attend additional meetings as needed.
Training for application readers will take place in early-mid December 2026. Regular hours for application review will commence in January 2027. We anticipate a higher reading volume in early to mid-January, which may extend into February as needed.
