Position Details
We are seeking a mid to senior level engineer capable of independently leading the following:
- Eliciting requirements from internal tech clients and translating them into feasible designs using GSP Schema, Query, and Processing Logic
- Reviewing and consulting on schema and query design, and implementing changes as required
- Designing, developing, and operating web applications and data synchronizer batches that support GSP
- Responding to incidents and inquiries and implementing preventive improvements
Work Environment
The team is about 10 members, mainly engineers, with ages ranging from the 20s to the 50s. The gender ratio is roughly even, and the team currently consists mostly of Japanese members. New graduates and mid-career hires, as well as full-time and contract staff, work together on the team.
Tech Stack: RockyLinux/Solr/OpenSearch/Cassandra/MySQL/MariaDB/Python/TypeScript/JavaScript/Next.js/Java
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Ability to independently drive schema and query design and requirements alignment with internal clients
- 5+ years of experience in system development and operations
- Development experience with RDBMS/NoSQL
Desired Qualifications:
- Web application development experience
- Development experience in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Search engine experience (Solr, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch)
- RDBMS/NoSQL operation experience
- Native Level Japanese or JLPT N1
