Reports to:  Sr. Sewing Supervisor
Supervises:  N/A

Summary Statement:   Under the general supervision of the Sr. Sewing Supervisor, the person in this position is responsible for operating the seam sealer following all established work, quality and safety procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Properly seal all seams of product, assuring tape is centered over seams and no puckers/pleats are allowed to form.
- Make repairs as apparent or as pointed out by the seam sealer lead or supervisor, pressers or inspectors.
- Follow vendor’s recommendations as to operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Notify seam sealer lead or supervisor of any problems or concerns regarding product or procedures.
Marginal Job Functions
- Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
- Participate in training and meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsWorking Conditions
- Must be able to visually perform product inspections.
- Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime.
- Must be able to sit over a 10-hour period.
- Must be able to use upper body strength and hands in order to pull fabric.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.
- Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work, quality and safety procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads.
Education and Work Experience
- On-the-job training is provided.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
