The Seafreight Operations Manager ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations, driving operational excellence and optimizing resource use. This role leads cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and alignment with strategic goals.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Formulates and implements strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity, ensuring alignment with company goals
• 
  
• Identifies, develops, and oversees the implementation of process improvements to enhance operational performance and reduce costs
• 
  
• Leads and mentors cross-functional teams to achieve high performance, ensuring that staff are trained and motivated to meet operational objectives
• 
  
• Manages and allocates resources effectively to optimize operational outputs
• 
  
• Develops, monitors, and manages budgets related to operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets
• 
  
• Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on operational efficiency, productivity, and other metrics critical to the business
• 
  
• Identifies operational risks and implements mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and safeguard company assets
• 
  
• Ensures all operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest quality standards

Qualifications

•

• Education: Apprenticeship or Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Management required

• Languages: Proficient in National Language. Intermediate in English
• 
  
• Work Experience: Leadership experience focused on optimising operational processes and managing operational teams
