Company Background

We are representing our client a leading global freight forwarding, supply chain and technology company in the search for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Sea Freight Executive

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attending to customers logistics needs in ocean freight.
  • Executing ocean freight bookings of customers, including but not limited to, documentation, permit declaration, data entry, arranging for pickup/delivery, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring each shipment generates the maximum contribution to the company by keeping constant focus on meeting the required service level at the lowest possible cost
  • Maintain and file all records in accordance with company procedure
  • Constantly review working processes with carriers and transport companies to ensure best practices, but also that fees charged are in line with competitors
  • Execute full operations including B/L preparation, cargo space booking, permits declarations, etc.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting any concern related to international freight transportation
  • Escalating operational and/or commercial issues encountered with customers/business partners that needs higher managements attention.
  • Responsible for planning and tracking the shipment according to customer requirements
  • Handling of cross-trade shipments and transshipments.
  • Monitor deliveries and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods.
  • Prepare and ensure timely dispatch of shipping documents
  • Billing, cost accrual update and file closing
  • Preparing and sending out of invoices to customers in a prompt and efficient manner according to established KPIs
  • Handling application of Certificate of Origin/Form E
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Manager

Job Requirements:

  • STPM/ Diploma holder in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Min. 3 years related work experience in sea freight operations or related field in Freight Forwarding/Logistics/Transportation industry
  • Good knowledge/experience in Ocean freight management (Import/Export/Transhipment)
  • Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and procedures
  • Ability to manage Project Cargo (OOG) is a plus
  • Experience in using CargoWise freight system would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS-Office suite
  • Willingness to learn and possess positive attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Working hours : Mon-Fri (9am - 6pm)
