The core responsibilities of this role include: Coordinating contractor and dispatch operations, supporting pharmacy customers through billing and administrative functions, managing route releases and delivery documentation, maintaining contractor relationships, overseeing customer service inquiries, reconciling daily delivery activity, and serving as the primary liaison between SDS Rx, pharmacy partners, and independent contractors to ensure seamless healthcare logistics operations.

Position: Logistics Coordinator

Shift: Monday-Friday, primarily 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexibility for 9:00 AM-5:00 PM as needed)

Pay:55,000 - 57,000 is the base salary - nonexempt

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• Previous management or supervisory experience
• Experience working within an Independent Contractor (IC) model
• Strong scheduling, staffing, and workforce coordination experience
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
• Ability to effectively manage challenging customer situations with professionalism
• Strong time management and ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
• Experience building positive team culture and maintaining strong contractor relationships
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, dispatch software, and e-Courier systems
• Logistics, transportation, delivery, courier, dispatch, or distribution experience preferred
• Experience with payroll, billing, settlements, invoicing, or accounting-related functions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High level of accountability, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work both remotely and onsite at a pharmacy location
• Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds

Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will serve as a critical link between SDS Rx, pharmacy customers, and independent contractors. This hybrid role combines administrative coordination, customer service, contractor management, and operational support to ensure daily logistics activities are executed efficiently and accurately.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting billing and settlement functions, monitoring delivery performance, coordinating route coverage, managing customer communications, and assisting with contractor scheduling and recruiting efforts. This position requires a highly organized and self-motivated professional who can work independently while providing exceptional customer service and operational support.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong leadership capabilities, and can proactively resolve challenges while maintaining positive relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Completing weekly contractor settlements and ensuring accurate payment processing.
• Supporting customer billing, invoicing, and account administration activities.
• Preparing reports, maintaining operational data, and performing system updates.
• Responding to customer inquiries, emails, and service-related requests.
• Researching proofs of delivery (PODs), delivery statuses, and customer concerns.
• Reconciling prior-day orders and ensuring all deliveries are properly completed and closed out.
• Overseeing daily route releases and contractor dispatch activities.
• Coordinating route coverage to ensure service commitments are met.
• Assisting with contractor scheduling, recruiting, and workforce planning efforts.
• Serving as the primary onsite customer-facing representative at the pharmacy location.
• Maintaining communication between SDS Rx, pharmacy staff, customers, and contractors.
• Managing customer logs, controlled-item documentation, and shipment records.
• Monitoring operational performance and proactively resolving service issues.
• Supporting after-hours customer or dispatch needs as an on-call resource when required.
• Utilizing dispatch systems, e-Courier platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and company technology to support daily operations.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with contractors, customers, and operational partners.
• Promoting a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
