Job Description

Optus is an Australian telecommunications company, delivering more than 11 million services to our customers every day across mobile, broadband and digital solutions.

We are seeking an experienced and high-impact Senior SDR Manager to lead and elevate our offshore Sales Development team based in Manila. Reporting to the Director of Lead Generation and Customer Lifecycle, this role is critical in driving a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across Mid Market, Enterprise, and Optus Business channels.

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day SDR operations while building a high-performance culture focused on quality lead generation, appointment setting, and pipeline growth. A key aspect of this role is coaching and mentoring SDRs to refine their consultative engagement skills and maximise conversion outcomes.

Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Digital and Enablement teams, you will ensure SDR strategies are aligned to business priorities and continuously optimised for performance. You will play a pivotal role in improving processes, implementing best practices, and enhancing the tools, insights and strategies used to drive results.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused leader with strong operational and strategic capability to influence growth and make a measurable impact on the sales organisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor and manage an offshore SDR team (including Team Leads) to generate qualified appointments and build a strong pipeline across Mid Market, Enterprise and Optus Business
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve SDR performance, including coaching on lead qualification, prospecting and appointment setting best practices
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs, providing regular feedback, training and performance reviews to drive consistent results
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Digital and Enablement teams to align strategy and equip the team with the right tools and insights
  • Optimise SDR processes, workflows and data management practices to improve productivity, efficiency and lead quality
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities, sharing best practices and providing regular performance updates to senior leadership

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) leading high-performing SDR or sales development teams in B2B environments
  • Proven ability to manage and coach offshore or remote teams, driving performance and accountability
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and optimise sales performance
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and optimising CRM systems and sales enablement tools (e.g. Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

The good stuff….

  • Competitive remuneration and employee discounts. Make life easier (and more affordable) with $80 monthly credit and 25% off Optus products and unique shopping discounts with our retail partners.
  • Flexible working arrangements with opportunities to work three days in the office, two days remote or home.
  • Vibrant and collaborative office campus that includes cafes, convenience store, chill out zones, GP, post office, gym and on-site childcare centre.
  • Competitive leave policies, including additional 'Connected’ days to focus on culture, family, health, community, or whatever’s important to you.
  • We support growing families with inclusive, carer-neutral paid Parental Leave of up to 16 weeks.
  • Direct your own development and build future-ready skills with Optus U’s industry-focused micro-credentials, developed with La Trobe and Macquarie Universities.
  • Build meaningful connections through employee-led networks and diversity initiatives including Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network and Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+).
  • Put your wellbeing first with free access to counselling and support services, 24/7 — in-person, by phone, SMS, or video.
  • Free Optus bus from Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon.

At Optus, we are strengthened by others and that means valuing diversity and saying ‘yes’ to embracing individual differences. We are committed to ensuring that our application process provides an equal employment opportunity to all job seekers, including individuals from diverse gender, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, individuals with a disability, individuals identifying as being part of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals who may have served in the armed forces or who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
