Hours: UK Shift

About the role:

We are seeking an SDET who will build and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend services. In this role, you will develop scalable test automation using Java, Selenium/Playwright, Cucumber, and Rest Assured, while ensuring strong test coverage across functional and regression areas. You’ll collaborate with developers during feature planning, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and help improve product quality through root‑cause analysis and best‑practice automation.

What makes you a great fit:

• 4–6 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering

• Strong programming skills in Java (OOP concepts, collections, exceptions)

• Hands-on experience with: Selenium WebDriver Cucumber / BDD TestNG / JUnit API testing (Rest Assured, Postman)

• Experience working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub)

• Good knowledge of SQL / basic database testing and NOSQL

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Good to Have Experience with cloud platforms (GCP) Exposure to Docker / containers Performance testing knowledge (JMeter, )

• Experience testing microservices architectures Knowledge of test reporting and dashboards

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend services Build scalable and reusable automation using Java (or relevant language

• Develop and execute UI automation using Selenium / Playwright and BDD frameworks like Cucumber Implement API automation using Rest Assured / similar tools

• Participate in test planning, test strategy, and test design for new features Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Perform root cause analysis of failures and work closely with developers to resolve issue

• Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing Review test code and enforce automation best practices
