About the role:
We are seeking an SDET who will build and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend services. In this role, you will develop scalable test automation using Java, Selenium/Playwright, Cucumber, and Rest Assured, while ensuring strong test coverage across functional and regression areas. You’ll collaborate with developers during feature planning, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and help improve product quality through root‑cause analysis and best‑practice automation.
What makes you a great fit:
4–6 years of experience in test automation and quality engineering
Strong programming skills in Java (OOP concepts, collections, exceptions)
Hands-on experience with: Selenium WebDriver Cucumber / BDD TestNG / JUnit API testing (Rest Assured, Postman)
Experience working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
Good knowledge of SQL / basic database testing and NOSQL
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Good to Have Experience with cloud platforms (GCP) Exposure to Docker / containers Performance testing knowledge (JMeter, )
Experience testing microservices architectures Knowledge of test reporting and dashboards
Key responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend services Build scalable and reusable automation using Java (or relevant language
Develop and execute UI automation using Selenium / Playwright and BDD frameworks like Cucumber Implement API automation using Rest Assured / similar tools
Participate in test planning, test strategy, and test design for new features Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Perform root cause analysis of failures and work closely with developers to resolve issue
Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing Review test code and enforce automation best practices
