Your Role

As a Junior SDET at Capgemini, you will support the quality and reliability of backend systems through testing and automation activities. You will collaborate with QA and development teams to execute test strategies, identify automation opportunities, and contribute to high-quality software delivery.

This role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience in testing who are looking to grow their skills in automation and backend validation within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities & Scope

• Support the development and execution of automated test scripts using Selenium.
• Participate in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including test execution and defect tracking.
• Analyze requirements to understand test scenarios and coverage needs.
• Execute manual and automated tests to ensure system quality and stability.
• Work collaboratively in Agile teams with developers and QA engineers.
• Assist in setting up test environments and configurations.
• Identify, document, and track defects.
• Maintain test documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• (Nice to have) Basic understanding of API testing (REST) and tools like Postman.

Your Profile

• 1–2 years of experience in software testing or QA.
• Basic knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium preferred).
• Familiarity with Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Exposure to Agile methodologies.
• Basic understanding of API testing concepts is a plus.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in automation and backend testing.
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
