The Developer Experience Engineering team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design and deliver features that enhance efficiency, improve tech hygiene, and drive operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities
Own Technical Delivery
- Design and implement significant features for developer productivity tools and automation platforms
- Take end-to-end ownership of components within larger systems, from design through deployment and operations
- Write high-quality, maintainable code that scales to support hundreds of users
- Build data pipelines and visualization components that provide actionable insights into engineering metrics
- Contribute to architectural decisions for your team's products
Grow Your Technical Skills

- Participate in design reviews and learn system architecture from senior engineers and Principal Engineers
- Develop expertise in AWS services, distributed systems, and operational excellence
- Gain experience with data analytics, metrics platforms, and developer tooling
- Learn to balance technical tradeoffs and make pragmatic engineering decisions
- Build skills in cross-functional collaboration and technical communication
Collaborate and Influence
- Work with partner teams to understand their pain points and gather detailed requirements
- Collaborate with SDE 1s and provide technical guidance on implementation approaches
- Partner with senior engineers to break down complex problems and deliver iteratively
- Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Help evangelize your team's products and drive adoption across the organization
Operational Ownership
- Monitor and maintain the health of the systems you build
- Respond to operational issues and implement fixes
- Use metrics and data to identify improvement opportunities
- Contribute to on-call rotation and incident response

Basic Qualifications


- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
