The King County Sheriff’s Office is seeking an experienced professional to support our law enforcement operations by providing HR generalist services to our employee population. This position will encompass a wide variety of Human Resource functions, and will work closely with the entire employment cycle, including hiring and onboarding efforts, conducting new employee orientations, providing direction on pay changes and processing separations department-wide. In addition, this position advises management on a variety of HR functions including employee data reports, filling vacancies, and interpretation and application of union contract language. They will work as part of the HR team and closely with the Payroll team. As part of the collaborative HR team, this position may backfill other Analysts’ body of work due to absences.
This is a one year special duty or term-limited temporary opportunity with an anticipated end of service date September 30, 2027.
About KCSO HR Team: KCSO HR works within the Support Services division with 10 employees that support the agency’s 1,200 employees and administering 11 Union contracts.

This hybrid position follows a Monday-Friday schedule, requires working 8-hour days and will work onsite a minimum of three (3) days per week at the Black River building, located at 900 Oakesdale Avenue SW, Renton.
