Hiring: SD-WAN Technical Architect / Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced SD-WAN Technical Architect / Engineering Lead to drive the architectural vision and engineering execution of a global Cisco SD-WAN environment. This is a high-impact technical leadership role focused on transforming legacy routing environments into modern, scalable, software-defined WAN solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and design scalable Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) solutions for global enterprise environments
Lead the deployment and engineering of SD-WAN controllers including vManage, vBond, and vSmart
Oversee implementation of edge devices such as vEdge and cEdge routers
Drive Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives for advanced SD-WAN capabilities and emerging technologies
Lead SD-WAN migration and modernization projects from design through production rollout
Optimize SD-WAN fabric performance, resiliency, security, and low-latency connectivity
Define governance standards, centralized/localized policies, and configuration templates
Architect automation frameworks using Python, REST APIs, Terraform, and Ansible
Enable Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and NetDevOps-driven infrastructure automation
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and infrastructure teams globally
Required Skills & Experience:
6–8 years of experience in Enterprise Networking and Cisco SD-WAN
Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Viptela SD-WAN architecture
Strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPSec, and hybrid-cloud networking
Hands-on experience with SD-WAN controller deployment and orchestration
Proven experience leading SD-WAN migration projects and POCs
Strong scripting and automation experience using Python and REST APIs
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Strong troubleshooting, architecture, and engineering leadership capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Cloud OnRamp for AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of SASE integrations including Zscaler or Cisco Umbrella
CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification
Cisco DevNet Professional certification
