Position Summary
The Sculpture lab monitor's responsibilities are as follows;
*Monitor the sculpture labs ensuring safe practices are being followed
*Check in lab visitors and verify their training for each area they are requesting to work.
*Perform other shop maintenance tasks such as emptying sawdust bins, cleaning sinks, vacuuming shops, sweeping, refilling paper towel dispensers and other tasks as needed.
*Turn on and off welding gas for metals shop
*Ensure shops are clean and secure at the end of shift.

Preferred Qualifications
*Available to work weekends
*Work study approved
*Are a current or past sculpture student
*Have experience working in a metal, wood or fabrication shop
*Possess a strong understanding of safe practices working in the sculpture labs
