Mission Overview:

This is a consultancy mission at a client site, where you will represent Keystone Solutions as a Scrum Master. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will be hired to work on client projects, bringing your expertise and our values to every engagement.

Mission Context:

The Scrum Master acts as the agile catalyst for the squad, championing the Scrum framework and agile principles to drive collaboration, focus, and high-impact delivery. You will empower the squad by fostering a deep understanding of Agile principles, removing obstacles, and shielding them from distractions to maximize value delivery. Coaching and aligning the squad and stakeholders, you will ensure effective interactions that accelerate progress while minimizing disruptions. You will uphold Agile excellence, guiding the squad in continuous improvement, adaptive planning, and self-organization to achieve sprint goals and long-term success. As a Scrum Master, you inspire a culture of agility, where transparency, inspection, and adaptation thrive. All these responsibilities will be carried out under Keystone Solutions’ consultancy model.

Function Description:

• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and other meetings.
• Guarantee a smooth use of the Scrum methodology and help the squad face any obstacles.
• Provide assistance or support to the Product Owner concerning the Product Backlog.
• Assist and support the team in the delivery of the Definition of Done (DoD), Sprint Backlog, etc.
• Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress purposes.
• Coach and challenge the squad.
• Promote gradual self-organization.
• Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from outside distractions.
• Act as an ambassador of agile methods within the company.

Delivery Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other squads to identify, track and resolve cross-squad dependencies.
• Proactively identify delivery risks and define mitigation plans.
• Track open issues, prioritize resolution and ensure follow up.
• Support the product owner in aligning sprint goals with the broader delivery roadmap and monitor progress.

Agile Requirements:

Agile teams are cross-functional. All required disciplines are represented in the team (analysis, development, testing, etc.). Team members have a primary role but are expected to contribute to other disciplines whenever it helps towards reaching the sprint goal.

Required Experience / Knowledge:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.

Technical Experience:

• Mandatory: Knowledge of agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g. Jira).
• Understanding of tooling on automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration tooling.
• Sound knowledge of software development methodology.
• Sound knowledge of project management methodology.

Business Experience:

• Mandatory: Expert knowledge of agile methodology and techniques (e.g. Kanban).
• Delivery management.
• Preferable: Having worked in large organizations.

Language Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of English as well as at least one local language (Dutch or French).

Education:

• Master’s degree or equivalent.

Certification:

• Not required.

Telework:

• Expectation: 50% on site and 50% homeworking.
