About the Role

Service New Brunswick is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support technology-enabled transformation initiatives, with a focus on Agile delivery and Salesforce-based solutions. This role helps cross-functional teams deliver value incrementally, improve collaboration, remove barriers, and adopt Agile ways of working in complex public-sector environments.

The Scrum Master will work with Product Owners, stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and leadership to support planning, execution, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will coach teams, facilitate Agile ceremonies, promote transparency, and help deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with organizational priorities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Delivery and Scrum Facilitation
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Coach teams on Agile, SAFe, and SNB delivery practices to strengthen collaboration, accountability, and self-organization.
  • Work with Product Owners, QA Leads, Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to maintain clear priorities, ready backlog items, and delivery momentum.
  • Monitor progress, remove impediments, manage dependencies, and support quality-first delivery aligned with governance, privacy, security, accessibility, and compliance requirements.


Salesforce Delivery Support

  • Support delivery of Salesforce Health Cloud solutions aligned with business goals, timelines, healthcare priorities, and user needs.
  • Coordinate Agile work across configuration, customization, integration, testing, data migration, release readiness, and adoption.
  • Collaborate with business owners, product owners, Salesforce teams, architects, analysts, QA resources, and vendors to translate priorities into clear backlog items, sprint goals, and acceptance criteria.


Team Coaching and Continuous Improvement

  • Coach team members on Agile values, Scrum principles, and continuous improvement.
  • Help teams improve flow, predictability, quality, communication, team health, and delivery maturity.
  • Facilitate retrospectives that lead to practical improvement actions, follow-through, shared accountability, openness, and psychological safety.


Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Build strong relationships with business owners, technology teams, vendors, leaders, and end users.
  • Communicate delivery status, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, trade-offs, and constraints in clear, business-friendly language.
  • Facilitate discussions and decisions where priorities, scope, requirements, delivery approaches, or expectations are unclear.


Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management

  • Identify and help remove impediments, including process barriers, resource constraints, unclear requirements, vendor dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Track risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, sprint health, release readiness, and other delivery metrics, escalating through governance channels as needed.
  • Help teams balance Agile flexibility with governance, procurement, financial, policy, accessibility, privacy, and security requirements.

Essential Qualifications

University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Agile Project Manager, or in a similar role, supporting Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, and/or hybrid delivery approaches; including at least five (5) years of experience supporting Salesforce, CRM, or a comparable enterprise cloud platform.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Applicants must reside in New Brunswick or be willing to relocate to New Brunswick prior to their start date.

Assets Qualifications

  • Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent.
  • Salesforce certification such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst, or equivalent.
  • Experience in government, public-sector, regulated, and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience with digital transformation, service modernization, CRM implementation, citizen-facing services, and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of accessibility, privacy, security, procurement, financial controls, and governance in public-sector delivery.

Behavioral and Technical Competencies

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead through influence in matrixed, cross-functional, and vendor-supported teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile values, Scrum practices, product delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, dependencies, and changing requirements.
  • Ability to communicate technical and delivery information to non-technical audiences.

Salary: $94,146- $113,906 annually – Pay Band 7 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
