Job Description

The Scrum Master plays a crucial role in ensuring that the team adheres to Agile values and principles while facilitating the Scrum process. Acting as a servant-leader, the Scrum Master supports the team in achieving their goals and maintaining a productive work environment. This role is essential for guiding the team through Agile practices, managing team dynamics, and collaborating with the Product Owner and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Implement Agile ceremonies and principles, supporting the squad's Scrum maturity.
  2. Lead and coach the team in Scrum implementation and Agile practices.
  3. Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
  4. Build a trusting atmosphere for open communication and problem-solving.
  5. Remove obstacles to team efficiency and ensure adherence to Agile processes.
  6. Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a well-groomed product backlog.
  7. Monitor team metrics and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
  8. Define and control project scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
  9. Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders for successful project execution.

Required Qualifications

  1. At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master managing Scrum teams.
  2. At least 2 years of Project Management experience with medium to complex projects.
  3. Proficiency in Jira and Agile methodologies.
  4. Experience with Agile metrics and reporting.
  5. Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  6. Experience in stakeholder and vendor management.
  7. Experience in coaching teams towards self-management and empowerment.
  8. Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage team dynamics.
  10. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CPO), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
