Job Description

What’s the role?

The Scrum Master plays a key role within a high-performing engineering team delivering the Mesh Connect Marketplace, Developer Platform and associated tooling, supporting delivery rhythm, strengthening agile practices and partnering with engineers and stakeholders to drive secure, scalable outcomes and improve developer experience across Westpac.

  • Enable the team to deliver end-to-end outcomes, supporting feature-based delivery across planning, sprint execution and release
  • Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies, embedding strong agile practices and improving delivery flow and team effectiveness
  • Remove impediments and manage delivery risks, ensuring smooth progress in a complex enterprise environment
  • Coordinate dependencies across teams while partnering with stakeholders to improve clarity of priorities and outcomes
  • Provide clear visibility of progress, risks and delivery outcomes while driving continuous improvement in team performance and developer experience
What do I need?
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead or similar role in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong delivery focus, with experience across planning, sprint execution, dependency management and release coordination.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to improve team effectiveness and delivery outcomes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology teams delivering platform, tooling or developer enablement outcomes.
  • A solid understanding of agile delivery, service reliability and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working within risk, security, governance and regulatory controls.
  • Experience in banking, financial services or another regulated industry, and Certified Scrum Master qualifications, will be highly regarded.
