Job Description

The Digital Modernization sector within Leidos has an opening for a Scrum Master for the Global Solution Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract, under the Global Automations & Intelligent Network Solutions (GAINS) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where innovation, collaboration, and growth are at the forefront. You will play a pivotal role in advancing Agile practices and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions to support complex data integration and interoperability efforts across DoD network infrastructures.

This position allows partial telework but candidates must be located within commuting distance of our sites at Ft Meade or Scott AFB.

The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure adherence to the Scrum process; coach the team on self-organization and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Remove impediments and streamline processes to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
  • Represent the team at Scrum of Scrums and to external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, and cross-functional leaders to ensure delivery aligns with strategic goals and objectives.
  • Monitor team performance using Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the DX team in achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and provide regular updates on sprint progress, challenges, and delivery timelines.
  • Promote Agile best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and 8+ years of related experience.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile processes and ceremonies.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders and virtual teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in network engineering or software development within a DoD environment (DISA experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, cloud infrastructure, and security policies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of DoD network infrastructure, security requirements, and data exchange protocols.
  • Understanding of big data applications and DISA/DoD networks.
  • Ability to commute to Scott AFB, IL, or Ft. Meade, MD, as needed for on-site support.
  • Active Security Plus Certification (or other applicable 8570 required certification), or ability to obtain one in a short timeframe.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
