We are looking for a high-impact Scrum Lead to enable a cross-functional pod delivering across ADT’s E-Commerce and Marketing technology ecosystem. This is not a traditional Scrum Master role focused on ceremonies alone. You will act as a delivery enabler, flow optimizer, and accountability driver, helping a team of engineers (Levels I–III), Product, and stakeholders execute efficiently across a complex stack including SFCC, SFMC, MuleSoft, and CMS platforms. You will partner closely with the Product Manager and Tech Lead (Engineer III) to ensure the pod operates with clarity, speed, and high quality, while continuously improving how work gets done.
What You’ll Do:
Drive Delivery & Execution
- Own the end-to-end execution rhythm of the pod
- Ensure work is clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for engineering
- Track progress, identify risks early, and drive resolution
- Hold the team accountable to commitments without creating unnecessary overhead
Optimize Agile Ways of Working
- Run lean, high-value ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
→ Adapt or compress ceremonies based on team maturity and needs
- Continuously improve team processes to maximize flow and throughput
- Eliminate blockers and reduce friction across teams and dependencies
Enable a Pod Operating Model
- Support a high-autonomy, high-accountability team structure
- Partner with the Tech Lead to ensure engineering work is sequenced and unblocked
- Collaborate with Product Owner to ensure backlog clarity and readiness
Cross-Team Coordination
- Manage dependencies across platforms (SFCC, SFMC, APIs, CMS)
- Coordinate with external teams (e.g., marketing, analytics, platform teams)
- Ensure E2E initiatives are tracked and delivered across systems
Quality & Delivery Discipline
- Reinforce the team’s model of engineer-owned quality (TDD – Test-Driven Development)
- Ensure work includes clear acceptance criteria and testing expectations
- Track delivery metrics (cycle time, predictability, quality signals) and drive improvements
AI-Enabled Team Efficiency
- Encourage adoption of AI tools to improve:
- Sprint planning and estimation
- Documentation and clarity
- Delivery insights and retrospectives
- Help the team operate more efficiently using modern tooling and automation
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in Agile delivery roles (Scrum Master, Agile Lead, Delivery Lead)
- Experience working with engineering teams in a digital product environment
- Proven ability to drive delivery in complex, cross-functional ecosystems
Agile & Delivery Skills
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, with a pragmatic (not dogmatic) approach
- Ability to balance structure and flexibility based on team needs
- Skilled at identifying bottlenecks and improving team flow
Technical Environment Familiarity
- Experience working with modern digital stacks (e-commerce, APIs, front-end frameworks)
- Preferred if familiar with E-Commerce platforms and how work flows across systems typically integrated with E-commerce platforms.
Collaboration & Influence
- Strong communicator who can work across Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders
- Ability to challenge constructively and drive accountability
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
What Makes This Role Different:
- Focus on delivery outcomes, not just Scrum ceremonies
- Works as a true partner to Product and Tech Lead, not an isolated role
- Enables a team where engineers own quality and testing
- Operates in a multi-platform Martech ecosystem, not a single system
- Leverages AI to improve team efficiency and insights
How We Work:
- Pod-based model with high ownership and autonomy
- Lean Agile (we value outcomes over rigid frameworks)
- Engineers own both development and quality
- Continuous improvement mindset, supported by data and AI
Why Join ADT?
- Shape how Agile works in a modern, AI-enabled engineering organization
- High visibility role with direct impact on team performance and delivery
- Work on a complex, high-impact digital ecosystem (E-Commerce + Martech)
