The Central Resource Unit is seeking casual Scrub/Scout Registered Nurses that can work at a choice of either Epworth Richmond, Freemasons, Eastern, Hawthorn, Camberwell and Geelong in various speciality areas.

Workforce Needs:

Scrub/Scout

  • ENT, Plastics, Ortho, General, Cardiac, Thoracics Urology, Gynae
  • High need for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Recruiting for Monday – Friday
  • Those who can work Twilight shifts (17:00 starts) are highly desirable

To be successful in this role...

As a Registered Nurse on a operating room team composed of patient-centred nurses, you are an effective communicator who adapts easily to various situations. You naturally demonstrate compassion and empathy toward patients. With a solutions-focused mindset, you prioritise the patient's needs in every decision you make, and you enjoy working collaboratively with your team.

You will have:

  • Minimum of 18 months of relevant experience
  • Flexibility to work across more than 1 location and those who are able to work across different roles is highly regarded
  • Enjoy the challenge of working flexibly within a team environment. 
  • Have well-developed time management and prioritisation skills 

Inherent Requirements - Perioperative

Qualifications

  • A current RN registration with AHPRA
  • Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (if applicable will be highly regarded but not essential

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
