Job Location: McClung Management Legal Address (K1) - Kilgore, TX 75662Position Overview:

Threads pipe as needed for compressor units.

Responsibilities/Job Duties

• Installs threaded piping to Engineering specifications
• Cut and thread pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders
• Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible
• Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules
• Adhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate protective gear
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements
• Need minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to read isometric pipe drawings
• Familiarity with manufacturing/fabrication processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
• Ability to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric)
• Ability to read and use a level
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Welding knowledge such as GMAW/MIG hard-wire
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Competency test: Cut and thread a piece of pipe. Use it to build a small piping assembly from a drawing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder for long periods of time daily
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Vision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documents

Working Conditions

• Subject to outdoor and plant environment with adjusting temperatures and climate

Upon Employment

• Complete a Safety overview from the EHS & Facilities Manager
• Complete a Quality overview from the Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Manager
