Job Description

Lake Forest High School is seeking a Scout Aquatics Assistant Swim Coach.

Scout Aquatics is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Swim Coach to work with swimmers ages 5 to 18, ranging from beginners to advanced competitors. The ideal candidate will bring a postitive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for developing young athletes both in and out of the water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate practices.
  • Provide stroke instruction, technical feedback, and positive encouragement to swimmers of all levels.
  • Support the Head Coach with workout execution, meet preparation, and team events.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating training environment.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of stroke mechanics and modern swim training techniques.
  • Experience working with children and teens in a coaching or teaching environment.
  • Ability to design and execute dryland programs appropriate for different age groups and skill levels.
  • Enthusiastic, dependable, and committed to swimmer developement.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Evening and weekend availability for practices and meets.
  • Must have, or obtain before start date, all relevant USA Swimming coach certifications.
  • (Adult & Pediatric/Child CPR and AED, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, USA
  • Swimming Background Check, Athlete Protection Training.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $17 - $22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
  • This is a non-union position
  • No additional benefits are associated with this position.
