The Special Conservator of the Peace ArmedRecruitis a Security Officer roledesignatedfor newly hired SCOP Armed Officers while preparing for successful transition to an Armed SCOP roleDuring the transition period of120days,all training andrequiredcertifications will be completed to allow them to carry a weaponThe primary function of this transitional role is to further develop the necessary skills, training, and certificationsrequiredto function as a fully armed SCOP Officer.
An offer of employment for aSpecial Conservator of the Peace ArmedRecruitis contingent on passing the pre-employment screening process, which includes a fitness assessment and psychological evaluation. Once the preemployment process is cleared and employmenthasbegun, incumbents will have120 daysto successfully complete and obtain other job specific certifications, as defined in the job profile. Failure to obtain these certifications within the prescribedtimeframewill result in termination of employment. Annual fitnessassessmentrequiredand psychological evaluations arerequiredevery 3 years as a condition of continued employment in this position.
