The opportunity

The Tender SCM professional is responsible for leading and executing supply chain activities during the tender and bid phase. The role supports Sales and Bid Management by developing sourcing strategies, preparing cost estimates, managing RFQs, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring competitive, accurate, and compliant commercial inputs to enable successful project wins.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Prepare and maintain cost databases for repetitive spend, standard products, and services

  • Conduct monthly tender list reviews with Sales and SCM to determine tender support requirements

  • Participate in tender kick-off meetings and review SCM-related critical inputs such as scope of work, competition overview, contractual conditions, and work package structures

  • Develop tender budgets, target prices, and timelines

  • Align tender sourcing strategy with Category Management

  • Prepare preliminary tender sourcing plans and review with the Bid Manager

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Category Management to ensure complete scope coverage

  • Issue RFQs, evaluate supplier offers, and conduct commercial and lead-time analysis

  • Negotiate pricing and terms based on tender budgets, procurement data, and cost analysis

  • Finalize supplier selection and pricing for tender submission

  • Review Final Cost Models (FCM) for completeness and accuracy

  • Provide SCM inputs to tender risk reviews and management presentations

  • Maintain MIS reports and track tender-related KPIs including TCI

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical preferred)

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Tender SCM, Strategic Sourcing, or Bid Management

  • Experience in project-based businesses with complex products

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

  • Tender and bid SCM knowledge

  • Strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation

  • Cost analysis and commercial evaluation

  • Strong cross-functional communication

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail

  • Additional languages are an advantage

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
