About the Role
The Supply Chain Risk Manager plays a critical role in strengthening supply chain resilience by identifying, assessing, and mitigating SCM‑relevant risks with a clear focus on dependencies within the supply chain system. The role is firmly anchored within the Supply Chain function and focuses on risks related but not limited to Market dynamics, Material shortages, Transportation & logistics.
The role acts as a supply‑chain‑focused coordinator for risk topics, ensuring transparency, structured reviews, and disciplined follow‑up within Supply Chain Management and functions in other parts of the organization if needed. The emphasis is on understanding how operational and structural dependencies impact supply continuity and performance, and on supporting mitigation actions owned by supply chain teams.
As part of the Supply Chain Excellence landscape, the role translates Supply Chain Risk frameworks into actionable processes, decision-making routines, and management insights. Success requires strong systems thinking across supply chain flows and End-to-end value chain, understanding of interdependencies, risk management and the ability to drive alignment and collaboration.
