Job Description

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Scientist, RCM Analytical Development to join our Regeneron Cell Medicines (RCM) team. In this role, you will support cell therapy programs by developing, optimizing, and executing biophysical assays to characterize lentiviral vectors, planning and performing experiments, developing new assay protocols, and analyzing and communicating results to advance therapies for patients.

This position offers the opportunity to partner cross-functionally across RCM to meet program timelines and deliver high-quality analytical data in a fast-paced, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

When & where:

  • Shift Requirements: Full-time, standard business hours
  • Location: On-site laboratory setting
  • Flexibility & travel: Minimal to no travel; on-site presence required to support lab operations, instrument maintenance, and assay execution

What you'll do:

  • Advance analytical development for cell therapy programs, with a primary focus on lentiviral vectors (LVVs)
  • Strengthen existing and establish new biophysical methods to characterize LVVs
  • Analyze, interpret, and clearly present complex datasets to technical and cross-functional audiences
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across RCM to troubleshoot challenges, align on priorities, and support program execution
  • Author and review technical documentation, including assay protocols, method development reports, and data summaries
  • Maintain complete, timely, and compliant electronic lab notebook records, support instrument upkeep, and independently troubleshoot equipment and assays

  • This is a hands-on, on-site laboratory role focused on biophysical characterization work, requiring independent design and execution of experiments alongside routine laboratory operations and instrument maintenance.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with 6-8+ years of proven experience characterizing and quantitatively analyzing lentiviral vectors
  • Ability to work independently to design experiments, as well as interpret, document, and communicate results
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritize effectively and drive work forward with minimal supervision

Preferred / nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with biophysical characterization techniques for sizing and counting particles, such as DLS, MRPS, and fluorescent labeling assays
  • Understanding and knowledge of viral vector biology, design, process, and gene delivery mechanisms
