About the role

We are currently seeking Scientist to join our Scientific & Technical Services team (S&TS) team at Brisbane Processing Centre. As an S&TS Scientist you will provide scientific services, support and problem solving to the regional manufacturing team to enable the delivery of production and work outcomes.

The role functions across a number of Lifeblood’s operational divisions, working with both internal and external customers, with a primary focus on supporting the Manufacturing & Logistics teams. It delivers scientific expertise, problem solving, technical know-how, and a high level of customer service, to ensure operational goals are met.

You will also provide advice and scientific knowledge to investigate and manage test anomalies, equipment faults and deviations which may fall outside of routine operation procedures. The S&TS Scientist role may also be required to support the implementation of both local and national projects, providing a link between project teams and regional production teams.

  • Bachelor of Science (biomedical sciences or related discipline)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing processes
  • Experience with operations in a regulated production environment adhering to the principles of GMP and GLP and NPAAC guidelines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to deliver outcomes to required standards
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style
  • A strong customer focus with the ability to identify improvement initiatives
  • An outstanding team player who supports the achievement of shared goals
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills

The is a Fixed-term full-time opportunity- 38 hours a week. S&TS department in Brisbane currently operates Monday – Friday and there will be a requirement to satisfy a work roster between 6AM – 4:30PM with on call hours.
