Job Description

You will partner across functions to shape programs, enable stakeholders, and ensure scientific integrity. With strong strategic thinking and collaborative leadership, you’ll turn clinical knowledge into measurable patient outcomes and help steer initiatives from insight through implementation.


Your new role

In this role, you will act as an office-based scientific expert, providing high-quality medical and scientific support across the Cardiometabolic area. You will support the Scientific Medical Manager in building and executing the national medical strategy, ensure accurate and compliant medical information flow, generate actionable insights, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive impact.


Key responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the national Cardiometabolic medical strategy in partnership with the Scientific Medical Manager.
  • Manage and support core medical projects at national level, including Advisory Boards, symposia, educational programs, PSPs, and selected IIS activities.
  • Provide medical leadership and coordination for launch activities, contributing scientific insights and external environment understanding.
  • Support the development and implementation of medical communication and omnichannel strategies; lead internal medical review and approval of materials to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance.
  • Deliver scientific support to internal teams and external stakeholders, including formulary committees and expert groups.
  • Analyse and synthesize medical insights to generate clear conclusions and actionable recommendations for Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a key scientific partner across functions, support KOL engagement and internal scientific training, and ensure full compliance with SOPs, local regulations, and Novo Nordisk values.


Your New Department

The Medical Affairs department in Romania provides scientific and clinical expertise to support cardiometabolic product lifecycle activities, bridging research, healthcare professionals, and internal teams. It delivers evidence-based medical information, supports clinical trials and real-world evidence generation, and fosters educational partnerships with healthcare providers. The team ensures ethical compliance, contributes to treatment guideline awareness, and helps translate global cardiometabolic strategy into locally relevant programs that improve patient outcomes across Romania.


Your Skills & Qualifications

We are expecting you to hold below skills and knowledge:

  • Medical Doctor, Pharmacist, or Life Sciences degree, with minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Medical Affairs role.
  • Strong therapeutic and scientific knowledge, with the ability to critically evaluate, interpret, and communicate complex clinical and trial data.
  • Fluent Romanian & English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to contribute to omnichannel and digital medical strategies, leveraging compliant digital platforms and tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, capable of synthesizing insights, data, and literature into actionable recommendations.
  • Execution excellence: proactive, results-driven, able to manage multiple priorities and go beyond defined responsibilities.
  • High standards of compliance, integrity, and trustworthiness, with strong understanding of medical regulations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, including engagement with KOLs, academic institutions, and cross-functional teams.
